School faculty and staff are all here and we’re preparing to welcome students back on August 8th. Homeroom lists were posted today so, now that you know about your new class, here’s what’s new in your school library:
- Your school library needs new and/or veteran parent volunteers since many of our faithful friends are now PTO Officers. Past volunteers will say, “it's easy, often peaceful, and the hours are so flexible!” So parents, please consider signing up as a school library volunteer during the Bounce Back to School PTO event or simply contact me directly. More info about Library Volunteer orientation will follow.
- We said a sad farewell to Mrs. Litton in June as she & her husband moved to Montana. Now we are eager to welcome our new Library Aid, Elaine Kinnaird! Miss Kinnaird is also an accomplished artist and has wonderful experience working in Catholic school classrooms and after-school programs. We’re fortunate to have her join us here at OLS School.
- Be sure to bring those certificates/notes/papers showing that you participated in a public library summer reading program as soon as school starts. We have a Reading Wall of Fame and Library Centers passes at the ready!
