After a slight delay getting checkouts started due to shelf repairs, the students are finally bringing books home! We were greatly blessed with a skilled and generous family donating their time and resources to reinforce wobbly shelves over the weekend and I am overwhelmed with gratitude. This week students will be learning the library routines for using shelf markers, checking out at the circulation desk, and how to properly return their books. This year, classrooms will no longer rely on one student to return their books. Instead, each student will return his/her own books anytime the library is open as long as they have their teacher's permission. For more information, click on Services & Scheduling. For now, we can't wait to see students "hugging" their library books as they head back to their classrooms!
